Our fundamental commitment is to equip adolescents for their upcoming personal and scholastic achievements through delivering secure, wholesome, and enriching experiences. By supplying nourishing food options, engaging in social and emotional learning (SEL) practices, and maintaining an invigorating and secure environment for play, we cater to the needs of urban children of school age.

As we look toward 2026–2028, Carter Dynamic Health Services is excited to build upon our foundational commitments while expanding our strategic focus. We are moving forward with our plan to open a much-needed homeless shelter in Detroit, Michigan. This facility will be more than just safe housing; it will provide comprehensive, tailored services for adults and families. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming space that offers essential resources like food, healthcare, and vital support services to help individuals regain stability and independence.
In addition to this critical community project, our new strategic plan introduces a comprehensive professional development initiative for our dedicated team. This program is designed to empower our staff with advanced training and educational opportunities. By investing in our people, we enhance their ability to provide the exceptional, compassionate care that is central to our mission.

MEET THE FOUNDER: DR. JEMICA CARTER
Jemica Carter, PhD is the founder of Carter Dynamics Health Services. The organization was founded in July of 2019 in response to numerous requests for quality childcare services and expansion of services due to the escalating concern over food insecurity, particularly in the context of the pre-and post-COVID-19 pandemic.
This has brought the issue of quality childcare services into sharp focus. As families grapple with unprecedented challenges, the demand for robust, responsive, and equitable childcare services has dramatically intensified. In response, many organizations and institutions are expanding their programs, aiming to provide comprehensive support that addresses not just educational needs, but also essential nutrition requirements.
Enhanced meal programs, provision of food packs, and collaborations with community food banks are some of the initiatives being implemented to combat the pervasive issue of food insecurity within the framework of childcare services.
The decision to become a small business owner of Carter Dynamic Health Services and provide academic, social emotional learning services, and food and job readiness and clothing assistance services to children and families in the community is driven by a combination of passion, expertise, identifying a need, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Why did you get started in this business/organization?
Carter Dynamic Health Services is committed to continuing the legacy of the late Pastor Pearl Brooks, Victory Outreach Food Program and Starlite Homes, Inc. that was located in Detroit, Michigan.
Pastor Brooks provided food services, clothing assistance, and supported the community by providing basic and health literacy services, and preventive health education information and resources.
